It is important for churches to have vision and mission statements to help communicate what they are focused on.  However, even more important than churches having a mission, is the mission of God in the world having the church.

When God wanted to clearly communicate his heart and mission he did so not with a slogan, mission statement, or even primarily through the words of Scripture, but rather through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus who fully embodies the love of God.  In this series we take a look at the captivating mission of God as we unpack our church's mission statement which is meant to be much more than words.
